The Australian National Circle Work ChampionshipsTM
Proudly sponsored by GME
The friendly competition between drivers with their skills in completing doughnuts, figure 8s and slides around open paddock areas in their utes has been going on for generations. As the Deni Ute Muster celebrates the utes and all things Australian, it was a perfect fit for the program and created a healthy competition between drivers to see who could be the best circle worker.
In 2012, heats will be held in several states around Australia. The top 3 drivers from those comps are automatically finalists for this year’s event.
TANCWC will be judged on a one minute run per ute by several independent judges. Judges will award point as for driving skills & level of control; drifting skills; number and execution of circles; number and execution of figure 8’s; and crowd reaction, so make sure you’re there to cheer the competitors on!
The 2012 Australian National Circle Work Championships was won by Bob Waldner, from Lavington NSW, who was able to get the nod from judges with his driving performance of his Datsun 1200 ute. Second was Jack Read, Goulburn, NSW and third placed was Adam Laneyrie, Condobolin.
