Services offered:

Festival program of events

  • The program provides entertainment for patrons of all ages including live music for over 24 hours during the event, free children's activities, carnival rides, a ute museum, sports driving competitions, bull ride and interactive competitions.

24 hour Security services on-site

  • To ensure patron safety and the safety of vehicles, trade sites and Festival infrastructure, security services patrol the ensure Festival Arena 24 hours a day.

Rent - A - Tent

  • Rent-a-Tent program for patrons without camping equipment who want to stay on-site.
  • For a cost, tents are erected with stretcher bed and sleeping bag, and dismantled at Festival conclusion. Tents cost between $264 and $451 for 2-4 person tents.

Information services

During the Festival weekend these include

  • Continual around-the-ground broastcast
  •  Live to air outdoor broadcast by local radio station
  • Festival programme including pull-out event schedule
  • Regularly updated website and Facebook page

Bus service

  • The Service operates from the Festival site to Deniliquin CBD and stops at 7 points around town including accommodation and retail areas for a one off fee for travel for the entire weekend ($10).

Free sunscreen to all patrons

  • As an additional service to patrons during the Festival, free sunscreen is provided throughout the event at the Information Centre and as the blue singlet count requires a sleeveless top to be worn, free sunscreen packs are distributed to minimise patrons getting sunburn.

Facilities offered:

Breath testing throughout the weekend until Sunday afternoon.

  • This facility operates to ensure the safety of our patrons and to encourage a responsible attitude towards driving after a festival weekend.
  • The facility costs patrons a gold coin donation. These donations are directed towards road safety projects within the Deniliquin community.

Operations centre with NSW Police command centre and security services base; Medical services base.

  • In response to the limited number of Police permanently stationed in Deniliquin, the Festival employs additional officers for the weekend. These officers undertake foot, motorbike and mounted horse patrols.
  • The Event Medical Services team is staffed with 4 doctors and 17 nurses and facilitates treatment of a wide variety of medical issues over the Festival. This service diverts the medical load from the Deniliquin Hospital emergency department by treating minor Festival injuries (cuts and abrasions, sunburn, Asthma /allergies) and provides triage for more serious injuries prior hospital attendance.
  • Unpowered camping areas with toilet and shower amenities
  • These facilities are brought to the Festival site and the cleanliness and number available is assessed each year to ensure patrons have high quality facilities while at the event.
  • Grey water from showers is used to environmentally water native vegetation areas.
  • Toilet facilities are chemical free and have ½ flush capacity to reduce water usage.

Disabled camping areas and amenities

  • Disabled camping area had been expanded
  • Extra amentities have also been added

Information Centres

  • Staffed by volunteers trained in customer service by the Festival staff, these centres provide information, free sunscreen, free rubbish bags, and a lost and found point for personal items and children.
  • ATM banking facilities on site and provision of telephone lines to trade sites for electronic purchases
  • Allowing cash-free purchases and the ability for patrons to access cash if required without having to leave the Festival site.

Over 80 trade sites and 20 catering sites

  • This provides patrons with a wide range of rural and ute related merchandise.
  • Food outlets are listed in the Festival Program and online to provide patrons with an idea of what types of food will be available at the Festival.

Medical equipment battery recharge point (for mobile scooters, oxygen machines etc)

  • This facility has been introduced following patron feedback from the 2010 event and due to the unpowered nature of the site. The upgrade of the Operations Centre includes this facility.

Waste Disposal and Recycling

  • The Municipality of Deniliquin does not have recycling facilities but the event places a priority on recycling waste from the event and provides cardboard/paper bins and aluminium can bins. The cost of transfer to the closest recycling depot is borne by the Festival.
  • Aluminium cans are placed at a depot and a team of volunteers from the Lions Club at Tocumwal sorts and remove the ring-pull tops, and recycle these as a fundraiser for the club.
  • Two garbage bags are given to each vehicle entering the site. Instruction tags are attached: One bag for general waste, one for recyclable products.
