Huge infrastructure work is in progress around the Festival as a dedicated team from the community have been working hard to improve the facilities for all our patrons.
The site in 2009 is going to look even better than last year!
The Site
In 2008 patrons saw loads of improvements around the Festival site such as
- a huge viewing mound at the Deni Freighters Sports Arena,
- drainage systems,
- A windmill (thanks to WD Moore),
- a bore (thanks to Watson Drilling),
- a Rhino Tank,
- fencing and more is what was achieved.
Let alone all the sand and gravel that has been carted to the site. We thank Deni Sand & Soil for the endless loads carted and Terrica Pty Ltd for providing the dirt.
New speaker stacks each side of the Country Energy Main Stage to provide top quality audio during the concerts with thanks to our great local fabricators Brunker Fabrications.
Our local earthwork business helped out being Druitt's Earthworks and Riverina Earthworks.
Michael McBurnie, local irrigation surveyor developed the drainage plans .
Mapping out is done by local experts Advanced Soil Mapping who spend endless hours ensuring the layout of the site is perfect.
This is a long term project and thanks to a newly formed infrastructure steering committee at the helm we are aiming to provide our Festival site for other community events in the future.

Sculptural Gateway
The 2008 Festival received funding from Festival's Australia's Regional Residencies Program to engage a metal sculptural artist, Ben Gilbert.
Ben Gilbert held workshops in the region to show community members new skills and incorporating into this creating a wonderful sculptural entrance which was unveiled Friday morning at 5.55am just prior to the gates opening.
This has been a wonderful community project that has involved many people within the community as well as the incredible generosity of the following sponsors.
This project would not have been possible without our wonderful partnership with South West Arts who co ordinated the project.
A huge thanks must also go to Murray Trotman who has dedicated alot of his time and skill to ensure the project is completed by the Festival.
We envisage this Sculptural Gateway will be another tourism magnet for many years to follow.
